How to Configure Folder Redirection Using GPO?



What is Folder Redirection and Why do we use Folder Redirection in Organization using GPO? 

Folder Redirection is a feature in Microsoft Windows that allows administrators to redirect the paths of well-known folders (such as Desktop, Documents, Pictures, etc.) to a new location, typically on a network share. This feature is commonly used in organizational environments through Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for the following reasons:

  1. Data Management and Centralization:

    • Folder Redirection helps centralize user data on network servers, making it easier to manage, back up, and secure the data.
